What is special about our climbing zucchini?
Zucchini are delicious and produce a large harvest from July to October. Most zucchini are not suitable for growing in containers because they take up a lot of space: sometimes up to 9 compartments.
You can easily guide the long stem of this climbing zucchini up a climbing frame. That is why it takes up much less space than other types.
Sow and grow climbing zucchini
Zucchini are real summer vegetables. The seeds germinate between 15 and 20°C. The seedlings are also very sensitive to lower temperatures.
That's why you sow them indoors from the end of April. Place the cultivated plant in your container around the end of May. Preferably choose a compartment on the side of the container: the plant will grow enormous leaves.
A zucchini needs a lot of nutrition. So give some extra MM nutrition when planting and some more in mid-July.
